| Frequently Asked Questions |
A: Yes, we do. We have shoes both in-stock and available for order that can accommodate AFO's, braces, and splints. We recommend making an appointment with one of our fit specialists between 9:30am-4pm Monday-Friday to ensure that someone is available to fit you.
A:Your feet may swell or change shape after being on them for a few hours. The best time to try on shoes is a few hours into your typical daytime activities, but not when you are fatigued or sore. Keep in mind that your feet change with the weather as well. They may be swollen in the summer and much thinner in the cold. So remember this when choosing socks and make sure you have both feet measured.
A:This depends on how often you wear them. Rotating your shoes with another pair will increase the life of your footwear, but shoes do wear out. Six to Eight months of hard wear is not uncommon for many shoes. When you begin to feel like your shoes are not giving you the support they once did, it's time to replace them.
A:Although we have many types of shoes and sizes available, all feet are unique. That is why we carry many brands that make multiple widths from AAAA narrow to EEEEEE wide. What is sometimes necessary, is to customize one or both shoes to meet your specific needs as well. This can be done in almost all shoes we sell, and the sales associate has the ability and training to help you.
A:There are many shoes available to you that accommodate orthotics. A deeper shoe with removable insoles is key. Although your options are slightly limited, you will still be able to find something to meet your needs. We work with doctors on a regular basis to help match customers with the right shoes for their orthotics. |
